Day off! I really needed it because my legs were gone yesterday for some reason. I was surprisingly very sore all day. 5 tomorrow!

I went 5 miles today as planned. It was kind of a systems check after saturday's fiasco. I felt pretty good, my legs were kinda sore, but i slowed the pace down to 7:15 min/miles and that seemed to help. Very windy on the way back, right in my face at 30 a steady mph, that made it difficult. Other than that I think saturday gets chalked up as being colder than i expected and that cold caused my legs to cramp. It was 45 degrees, but the windchill was around 32, and yet i still wore shorts then. Should have worn tights or pants apparently and need to pay better attention to the windchill as that seems to have caused cramping in my legs.

Today was a tempo run. 3 miles a GMP -5 seconds. I felt really good, and actually ended up running the 3 miles a lil below my goal time (ended up in 19:10). Not a bad first tempo in this marathon training cycle!

Nice, laid  back 5 miles today in 35:25 (7:05 min/mile). Windy on the way out but nice and decently warm on the way back. Overall, a good day for a run!

Today was another tempo run. I ended up around marathon pace (6:28 miles). Much slower than i had hoped for, i was hoping to end up around 18:45, ended up around 19:25. Its okay though looking at the circumstances. It was morning speedwork, which i find is always slower for me. Plus i had a short turnaround on mileage yesterday which was in the afternoon, so i only had about 16 hours between workouts. With that in mind, today was not a bad workout at all, and it did actually feel pretty comfortable. Just got to get my breathing together in this cold air which is always a challenge. Really slow mileage tomorrow!

Laid back 5 miles today.  Just didnt have much in the tank. I felt really tired for some reason. I had to stop a few times to get my legs back under me. Tomorrows 11 should be interesting.

 Bonked big time. Just felt like crap after 8 miles and had to stop periodically. Prolly wont be doing that marathon in April, just not enough time to build properly. Maybe shoot for a summer or fall mary and just concentrate on shorter races til then.
